Water leak from behind the engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi All, I trust you are all well,

I recently noticed that my Opel Corsa B 1.4i 2006 hatchback has a terrible
water leak on the right hand side behind the engine therefore I took it to my
mechanic to get some advice, he told me it looks like the leak is coming from
the top radiator pipe behind the engine. This looks like it can be quite a job to
do as its behind the engine and he engine bay is pretty compacted and there
is little space to work in. He is not able to assist me as he is going to Canada
and only coming back in January 2020 and obviously I need this repaired
ASAP.

Please can anyone advise me as to how much more or less this will cost and
how long will it take to get repaired?

Thank you

Bavi

40,000

It depends on how long your mechanic is in Canada. It should only take a few hours to replace. Figure the cost of the hose or hoses, coolant and two to three hours labor due to removing parts to get at it.
