opel corse 1.4 i

hi all i have  a opel corse 14. i, the car starts with no problem
the problem is when the car heat gauge picks up which it has too and when i
want to switch off the car just keeps trying to switch off by take a few minutes
after like making a noise, stuggling to go off.
wat could be the problem

You saying when you turn the key off the car stills try to keep running making a splattering noise like it's trying to keep running

and it does keep running makes a noise like a fuel cutting off and car is suffering to go off
