Overheating

I got a 2003 ford explorer and it seems to
overheat on traffic when I got  AC on only.
Checked coolant level and never drops
thermostat is new. As soon as i turn AC
off temp drops to normal. What can be
causing this problem PLEASE HELP!?!?
