need to know point gap for 351w droping it into my fairlane till i rebuild the arigional 289

Point gap should be .017 depending on the year and cam installed.

this may sound stupid,but the best guadge for setting points on a ford engine is to tear off a pice of a book of matches you know matches to start a fire with,is the perfect setting for the points.

Can anybody help. I have a 79 f100 with a 351w. I went back to points n the truck is backfiring. Is their a different order besides the book
