1968 MGB

Asked by tryaconvertable Jun 06, 2019 at 08:55 PM about the 1968 MG MGB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is no spark to the engine.  Replaced the ignigtion coil, it has power and is good but still no spark. It's not the plugs they look clean.   Thinking it maybe in the distributor but don't know what.  Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Replace the points and condenser, once you get the point gap right it should make spark.

After you do the above, check the ignition timing. You may also need to replace the cap, rotor and wires. Look in to the Pertronix system!
