22 RE ticking engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Ticking sound from enigine.  Was told this is normal for this enigine and not worry aobut it.  Do you agree?

Depends on the type of sound - Maintenece schedule say to adjust the valves every so often These are adjustable on this vehicle.

I had the same problem with my 89 toyota pickup and i changed the timing chain and i havent heard any ticking since.
