How do I get power to 1986 Toyota truck?

Asked by May 21, 2017 at 09:53 PM about the 1986 Toyota Pickup

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Toyota wouldn't start.  We jumped it.  Lights came on but still wouldn't start.
Charged the battery.  We then noticed the truck wasn't in park.  After shifting
to park, all power was lost.

check to see if the distributor will turn...think the timing belt is finished...you may get 80,000 out of one...these have to be changed periodically~ the kit is only 78 bucks~ http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sku/Toyota/Pickup/Replace ment/Timing_Chain_Kit/1986/KIT1-102713-36-B.html? apwcid=gglpla&gclid=Cj0KEQjwmIrJBRCRmJ_x7KDo- 9oBEiQAuUPKMpq2nOWTfrpd81efkpwdIeAxib1Z3l_h5oaQEg_V P0IaApX68P8HAQ
