Mechanic says carbirator electrical issue but it ran like a champ before ignition was left on.
It seems to want to start.or grab right before u stop turning the key to ingage. Help... I'm
$500 in already.

are you sure there's no spark? cause there's alot of things that could make the sound of wanting to start and not, i'd check the idle control motor and all your vaccuum lines, with those old carborated systems a vacuum leak could be a the difference between running and stalling/not running. but more diag is deffinatly required
