If this is an automatic, problems in forward & reverse is a sign of a transmission with worn out solenoids, clutches, gears, etc. Get the car to a transmission specialist and plan to rebuild or replace.

Hi when I said the Pajero does not drive or move in any gear I meant that everytime u engage it in gear the engine cuts out (the engine switches off) the auto transmission is all fine and in working conditions this problem has started after I have changed the diesel injector pump

My guess would be a bad torque converter solenoid/clutch, or a transmission internal pressure problem due to leaking seals (forward & reverse). Might be a faulty MAP/MAF sensor. A long shot, but it might be as simple as a vacuum leak.
