Key stuck in ignition

My 2002 Nissan pulsar - the key is stuck in the
ignition, and I can't seem to find how to get it out.
Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly
appreciated, as we're finding this really annoying
and don't want to have to spend a heap of money...

If the battery is dead it may not come out ,,, I have a G6 and that's what Pontiac does (stupid)
