I can still smell gas fumes coming from the under seat gas tank for my FJ 40. I don't see any leaks whatsoever. Is this normal or is there something I can do to stop it?

Purge canister for the gas tank fumes is bad or you have a hole in one of the hoses to it.

Is that the official name or does it go by a different name? I am looking in my manual and don't see one.

Yes that is what it is called but it won't be in the manual.

If you have access to ebay, type your vehicle in with **purge canister** and it will bring pictures up of what you need.
