here is a tough one boys, I just installed a new engine into my 1978 Datsun 280Z, and I can't get it to start. It has fuel, spark, & compression. I have checked the valves & they R OK, timing is right 8 answers I have replaced the flow meter, the thermo time sending unit & the main Brain computer box and the ingnition switch and still don't even get a backfire. Any Help out there?
Hello, You know, I am trying help...my real limits on the Zeees is that Jatco Stuff...I'd "tune" a little when doing such, but always concentrated on the tranny....I did know about the valve, but that is all, and I know only that it is fed "thru' ignition switch, only in "start"...and that after that thet ECU (Japa Knees for Control unit aka brainbox)...So>>> Thanks for Playing the Mechanic Long Distance Game with us...but that's all Folks, from this end... Good Luck, Best Wishes, ATM Good Luck,
so what I did, rather than trace out the ing wire off the switch is; I taped into the solenoid wire & bypassed all their Jap Crap! but thanks for the sounding board.
