engine acceleration

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Finished with 1978 280Z 2+2 restoration--but the engine hesitates on acceleration.  When the revs build, it operates normally--acceleration is good.  Injectors cleaned, fuel tank cleaned--no help.  There is no carbon buildup from a rich mixture--plugs look good.  Starting--sometimes fires right up--sometimes hesitates to start.  Where to start?

Check air filter and clean throttle body add Lucas Fuel Injector Cleaner to gas tank. I read were you cleaned injectors but the injector cleaner will also clean the intake and exhaust valves.

I have heard of fuel injection problems on those before- good luck- I have not heard of anybody ever figuring it out-
