Can anyone tell me how to adjust the handbrake on my 2000 Mitsubishi Carisma?

My handbrake has to be pulled to the top of it's travel to hold the car.

Well if its anything like my eclipse then there should be a small hole in the rear brake rotor take out the cap and there will be a small wheel inside that you crank to adjust the position of the interior brake shoes, this being on an eclipse mind you so not sure would be the same.
