(model specifies options to me as far as remote start, or common ignition issues), and no electrics, but engine continued to run, or had to restart?

I was just going to post John, you're up, you field this one. If you drove home then all electrical components didn't die, and what happened when (if) you hooked battery back up?

have not hooked battery up again as i think it might be main engine management fuse blown?

I had my coffee Dave, (an hour earlier than normal), hahaha stupid clock thing.

Off topic, in the AF I lived in Phoenix (Luke AFB) and didn't have DST, it's friggin stupid until today it was full dark at 7am..anyway, roverman thanks for at least getting back to us. Lots of people ask a question, we ask them to elaborate, and never get a response ....maybe we can figure this out

that was a quick jump to the fuse. please specify which model for me, and feel free (safely and at home), to reconnect the battery and start it, as disconnecting it, JUST CLEARED ANY and everything from computer base memory...and it is the only thing to do now, and post what happens, every time the ignition cycles, it self-checks every computer and sensor or current working condition, if the car continued running, how long did the electric go out, did you hit a bump, a flicker, or stil out now (after rechecking)?

No, I didn't say that, when you say "all electrics died" like lights, radio, gauges? and it still ran, especially when you pulled the key out, it's something more complicated than just a bad battery

dude, the vehicle "stayed running", please unlock your thought process...meaning the battery wasn't the issue, (alternator might be tomorrow), if the car ran off the battery for too long a period, the Disco, and Range have remote starters, if an aftermarket one was installed, personally I am thinking "bad ground", or ignition itself stuck, help with more info please

Just tried reconnecting battery, still nothing?battery light and oil light stays on but dies away.checked battery window as handbook says if colour green batt is good and it is green.

thank you for confirming what i said (battery not the problem). and unfortunately there are still too many possible reasons, do you have an ohm meter and or able to ohm out the mass air flow meter? that is a good place to start...

thanks again for that but no i dont have ohm meter.i work at halfords so going to ask if one of the mechanics next door in the garage can help tomorrow.if not have to join RAC homestart.

Hi Roverman...my 03 Rover 25 has done exactly the same. Can I ask what the problem turned out to be please? Longbolt
