from the begining, fuel in the tank? yes. fuel goes from the tank to fuel pump do you have fuel to the fuel pump? If yes remove the fuel line after the pump does it have fuel squrting out whan engine is cranked? if yes then remove the line that goes to your carb, does it have fuel when you crank it? If yes is there i filter at the carb? If no and the carb still not getting fuel then it sounds like the float in the carb may be stuck. If it comes to this you can lightly tam the side of the carb and it might free up the needle that is hooked to the float. Good luck im sure in no time you will have your answer

Sounds like you have a old truck. Check the line from the fuel pump to the carb for problems. What truck do you have and what type of fuel pump? Electric or mechanical?

Ah, It is a 1959 Galaxy (probably 500) car. It would have a mechanical fuel pump in it, which is probably bad. You can check fuel pressure, if I remember right it should be like 5 to 7 lbs. Replace the fuel filter also.
