heavy load in the back ok?

Asked by terryhouse2 Jun 16, 2008 at 05:50 PM about the 2004 Ford Excursion

Question type: General

I have a 2004 Ford Excursion that is raised up 6 inches with the giant tires on it. My husband installed a steal platform on the back to hold our hot air balloon basket.  It's heavy enough to make the car ride heavier at the back.  Do we need to have air bags installed to raise up the back end or is it ok for it to ride low in the back like that??
