Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Would my car not start if i used the wrong type of
gas? I used premium and then 1 hour later my car
shuts off and wont start anymore.

do not think it's your gas...Do think that it's lack of maintenance...when was the last time you changed the air filter, oil change or even a timing belt every 60,000 miles~ pcv valve, oxygen sensor, thermostat, coolant flush?~

look at your mileage...and the maintenance schedule, must stick to the prescribed schedule...perhaps there is a Recall or technical service bulletin who'd problem you've experienced that you'd get fixed for free...if you searched for this~

...okay....invest in some new battery cables and a NEW battery...TEN years and they will not accept at charge anymore...yours sounds like the connections are corroded...the connection from the black cable from the engine block to the battery post is an important one...take the bolt off and wirebrush this connection...with your NEW battery and new cables... you will have No more starting problems~
