hi im new to 4x4's im going to look at a 85 hilux 2.4ltr diesle for sale is there any
think i should look out for when looking at it and are there any common problems i
should know about

Other than body rust, there are no problems with those trucks. They are rock-solid.

The 2L 2.4 litre diesel is not a bad bit of kit - just make sure (as with any Jap diesels) that it has had regular oil and filter changes as well as fuel injector and pump services!

Bullet proof chassis and engine just they suffer from rust on the rear tub and getting a replacement in rust free condition if u live in the uk just aint going to happen.
