97 Acura Integra timing belt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I changed the timing belt and now the car will not start! I tore into it and found out that the rotor in the distributor is not facing the right plug wire! How could this happen when all i did was take the belt off and put the new one on? And how can i fix it? Thank u

you need to find the timing marks on the engine. theres one on the cranck pulley and cam shaft http://www.ehow.com/how_4509003_check-replace-timing-belt-acura.html

yes check timeing marks,putting on a new belt can move the gears plus the tension has to be just right,if to loose it will jump time.
