Car still stuck in limp mode

Asked by Michael Apr 09, 2020 at 10:33 PM about the 2009 Nissan Altima

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Imy transmission went out in my Nissan
Altima 2.5 s so I replaced it with a used
transmission  it car was still in limp mode so I
scanned it and got back 5 fail codes all relating
to my transmission sensors so I replaced that
transmission with another used transmission
from a car that had been wrecked so I figure
the transmission was still good but I'm still
getting the same codes step motor code
,torque converter clutch selonoid code
,pressure a and b control selonoid codes.
Surely not both transmissions I put in my car
have the same fail codes what is most likely
the problematic

Post the actual codes and maybe someone here can help. Unfortunately for you, you have the worst transmission ever made.

P1777,P1777,P1745,P1746,and I can't remember the torque converter clutch selonoid code, but I got all 5 codes on both transmissions I put in so I'm thinking I couldn't have gotten two bad transmissions with the same fail codes

Did you also replace the torque converter? I would also examine the transmission wiring harness for damage.

Yes I replaced torque converter on both transmissions so replacing the wiring harness to my transmission is probably my next move you think

I would inspect it and the connectors for damage. I also wonder about the TCM.

I'll do that and thanks for the advice
