Hi. I have an opportunity to purchase a 1988 GMC Sierra short bed with a Winchester trim package. Can anyone tell me about this trim package? I haven't been able to find anything.

Question type: General

Would really love to have some info and anything about value.  I would say it is
in fair to good condition. 215,000 miles and a small gas line leak.  Body is
good.

I wouldn't pay more than $500 for it. I am sure there are going to be a lot of repairs that have ben neglected.

The Winchester edition is a very rare package. I have only seen a couple of them. It was a promotion between GMC and Winchester. When you bought the pickup from the dealer you had a choice of a couple commerative firearms. I hope you get it bought or did buy it.

I purchased one of the 1988 GMC Winchester trucks. I have not been able to find any info about them other than this post. It is a short bed with the fiberglass body. Any other info would be great to know.

I have a Winchester edition Sierra as well. I can't tell you how many were made but I have only seen 2 of them in 32 years. Mine has a holiday rambler badge on the tailgate. I think it has something to do with the package. I found it out in Wyoming. The decals on the outside with the color makes it one of a kind. Along with the the oak trim on the interior. I can remember seeing a article in outdoor life about this edition but still can't find the information I would like to know.
