Question type: Car Customization

I'm swapping a TH350 out of my 1979 GMC Sierra Grande.  It had a TH350 with a NP203 transfer case.  Now I will be putting a TH400 with another NP203.  Am I going to have to have new front and rear shafts made for it?  Or will the originals from the TH350 fit?

i would go one a 4hweeling site and talk to some of them, i am thinking it will, but if the tailhousing on the transmission is longer than the th350 you are gonna need to get the front extended and the rear shortened. hope this helps ya on your project, good luck.

as long as both the 203s are the same they will work, there was a couple different types of 203s made with different housings
