You know if either of us were really interested we could call up a wiring diagram for a 77, but I have no idea what this cat is up to. Are we helpin him steal this one, if so WHY a 77?

Alternatively: big screwdriver, small tap, hard twist. Oldfashioned mechanical hotwiring, but dad will definitely know you've been taking the car :-P

Got that right Lars, next time Dad tries to stick his key in you, vonster better head for the hills with a peanut butter sandwich and sleeping bag

Why a 77 is a silly question 73-87 by far have the sexiest body lines. That's why the third Gen lasted 15 years with minor changes... BTW I own an 86.

sweet, take care of every last beautifu feature...then be on the road (if you really love it, you'll NEVER drive it) and someone will run a redlight and cream your favorite thing..ever, never to be replaced with the degree of enthusiasm you had initially. Have to say that damned sparkle salmon 59 pontiac gobbled my heart right up...then a K-car (rental) came streaming out of the gym running a very stale yellow light at a blind intersection....after darn near 30 years am starting to get over it as the MINI is exciting. 65mph at 2000 rpm...CVT...keyrayzee!

Similar story with my last pickup, my attraction to it wasn't physical though, it was all the work I had done to it. It was a 1990, body was falling apart, put bucket seats from an 89 camaro in it. Built custom boxes for the stereo speakers, aftermarket lights, timing chain, replaced the entire front suspension with KYB shocks and all Moog chassis parts. Replaced almost every exterior engine part. List goes on, stupid 17 yr old pulls out in front of me while I'm going straight through a green light. I was told by the cop that it was my fault because she had completed her turn. 1 she failed to yield and 2 if she had completed her turn I wouldn't have hit her. I guess when you have tits and tears you can get away with anything. She wrecked her parents 04 intrepid that day and the year before, right after she got her license, she totalled her parents 05 grand prix by putting it in a ditch.

...and what have we learned by these experiences?...do not get attached, it's just a friggin' machine, of which can be replaced....people cannot be replaced.

You put that many personal man hours into a vehicle you become attached

You've got to get over it, man. ask yourself what is the car or truck I've always wanted, is easy to get parts for and doesn't piss people off (too much).

The answer is a 1984 Range Rover Classic 4 door with an automatic transmission :-P It doesn't fit any of the above but is just plain fun to sway around turns and glide through rough terrain :-)
