I don't know if my fuel pump is out on my 2008 dodge ram?

My truck will crank but won't start and I can't here
the fuel pump when trying to start the engine so
I'm pretty sure my fuel pump is out but not sure
how to test this

No sound IS the initial test. Beyond that, if defective, it could be the pump itself, or the regulator or the fuse. Those are the most common problems. You'll probably need a mechanic to fix this.

Have someone turn the key while you listen at the tank to make sure. Banging on the tank is another way to test it, if the pump starts you know it is bad. You can also check the fuses before springing for a new pump.
