A common issue with the SAXO , PEUGEOT etc. The problem is wear in the linkage rod ends, they are a 'ball and socket' type connector and generally the plastic socket wears away giving lots of freeplay. These link rods are quite simple to replace they just snap fit in place. However you may have play / wear also in the link rod mounting located on the rear of the subframe directly below the exhaust pipe.
