Sounds like perhaps there is an underlying electrical problem which is frying the module. I would have this checked out by a mechanic.

Have you had a mechanic look at what is causing it, as in wire short, water leakage. But for this aprt to go out this often means that there is some other issue. I have had a 88, 2-91's, a 93 and a 94 AWD and the GMC 92, 99, 2003 In all those vans (most of which went over 250 000 to 300 000kms) I know all but one of the van owners with whom I sold it to. So I am just thinking that there is a issue outside the modulators keep going bad. You might want to leave it with the mechanic for a few days to see if he/she can see an other problem that is causing the mods to go.

may I ask where you are buying parts.? If Autozone that may be the problem. Have gotten many bad modules from there. If not then you are getting electrical surges )spikes0 in voltage which can occur by poor grounds.
