Metal rattling noise

Asked by Greenwild Jul 16, 2016 at 05:02 PM about the 1962 Chevrolet Nova

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Recently there has been a sound that
sounds like tin cans rattling coming from
underneath my '62 nova. It is loud when I
accelerate and calms down when I hit a
steady speed. I looked under the car and
nothing seems out of place or obviously
wrong. Any ideas on what this could be?

Had same problem back in the day when I had a 69 firebird a baffle broke loose instead one of the duel mufflers and only would hear it when accelerating.
