Tiguan has tons of competition for the crossover SUV market. Not sure what the price is going to be but VW has their work cut out for them. Target seems to be folks who want a smaller SUV.

Base price is 24K for the S - no chrome window trim; 29K for the SE - massive sunroof, chrome window trim, stainless roof rack, cloth and front wheel drive; and 34K for the SEL, leather and four-motion

Are you inquiring about new or used price? I bought mine new in 2009 and love it. I paid around $30,000 before tax and such! I have the SEL w/panaromic roof and it is for sale today for $17,500. I need something smaller now. I would recommend to NEVER buy new, you literally lose $10,000 off the bat!
