First of all, the Nissan GT-R is technically not a Skyline. Granted, it seems it should be, but alas, it is not. As far as why it is so highly desired, I can think of many reasons. First of all, it is an incredibly agile machine, factoring in for All-wheel-Drive and an on-board computer that can adjust the suspension, power and braking on every wheel individually to ensure as much power and traction gets to the ground as possible. Next, it's a very powerful machine, with each twin turbocharged V6 engine hand-built and tuned to give each GT-R about 500 bhp right off the line. The list goes on, but this is a couple of things to just get you started, hope it helped.

I have sold 5 Nissan GT-R's in the past 3 years, and I have driven 2009-2012 models, and in comparison to many other cars I've driven over the years, nothing melts your face back into the seats as gloriously as the GT-R does! The immediate power and mind boggling quickness simply blows you away. It's a car you can drive everyday, and drive exceedingly well, plus it handles the snowiest days like a champ. If you want a superior car and exciting life and can afford it, the GT-R is your car, and is why it's desired by millions of fans around the globe.

Jordan is an idiot. Between 1969 and 1974, and again between 1989 and 2002, Nissan produced a high performance version of its Skyline range called the Nissan Skyline GT-R. This car proved to be iconic for Nissan[7][8] and achieved much fame and success on road and track. The Nissan GT-R, although no longer carrying the "Skyline" badge, has heritage in the Nissan Skyline GT-R
