Identifying my car engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I recently bought this el camino 79. It was
sitting in a drive way for about 2 months on
a neighbors drive way and i finally convinced
him to sell it to me and he doesnt know
exactly what was sitting on his drive way. So
now its harder for me to replace parts in the
engine without guessing. so now it anyone
can help identify thatll be great

That looks like a 350 cubic inch. To be sure you can write down the engine numbers and look it up on this sight....http://outintheshop.com/faq/casting/castings2.html

The only thing I could really identify on the engine is " Edelbrock " but thanks. maybe I'm not looking hard enough and the right places

The engine number is stamped on the engine block. Your looking for the block number.
